Although the iPad Pro and Mac both use M-series processors, the development platforms are (mostly) distinct. That would be cool, but it would likely be far from seamless. Paradox has enough experience with the Mac that they will not have a problem getting the necessary app endorsements from Apple. These restrictions can all be signed-away, including the sandboxing, networking, runtime code generation, etc. Someone also mentioned the restrictions Apple places on Mac apps from third party developers. I don't know the implications of that for porting to Mac (or for porting to Apple silicon), but it should at least be portable to the Mac x86_64 architecture and runnable with Rosetta 2. That said, I don't have experience with Unity, and the devs have stated that CS 2 is written with Unity. Sure, CS runs "fine" on Apple silicon with Apple's code translation framework, but an optimized, Apple silicon version would really shine. Although Apple has gone to great lengths to ease the transition from Intel to Apple silicon, optimizing performance for Apple silicon is different than optimizing performance for the Intel/AMD platform. I predict we'll see an announcement within 6 months of the Windows launch (3 months optimistically), and we'll see the product itself within a year. What would be nice is some kind of announcement on a timeframe, but they're probably just not ready for that. IM (not so humble) O, it is naive to think that Paradox/CO will not publish a Mac version of CS:2.
